From here, you can walk to the Sé (Lisbon's Cathedral), the Castelo de São Jorge (Lisbon's castle) and take the famous number 28 tram through the winding streets of Alfama.

This is a marvellous base for discovering the old historic area of central Lisbon, with the small alleys, old taverns and traditional Fado restaurants so typical of Alfama.
